Stress Management

Stress is a general trigger or cause of many many issues and if it is not managed correctly over a long time, it can build up and along the way we will also acquire some primitive ways of coping such as habits and behaviours. Over time, we then feel this is the norm and we find ourselves in a vicious cycle of symptoms versus negative thinking and doing. It affects our bodies in many ways including our sleep patterns. We use sleep to empty out all the negativity from the day but if we are holding far too much of it, then our brain cannot do its job while we sleep and it will wake us up or prevent us from going to sleep because too much is going on in there. That’s where Solution Focused Hypnotherapy comes in. It will become your best friend. Fun and rewarding is how I describe it because it really is very friendly, no drugs involved, just talking, planning, changing, relaxing deeply and finally living.

Neurodiversity & ADHD

Stress lives in all of us as does anxiety. Anxiety is there to protect us for instance if you saw a Polar bear you would immediately respond with panic, fight flight freeze, palpitations, then run which is the correct response from the brain, job done. So for a neurodiverse person on a day to day basis, its almost like they have a polar bear in the room all day long. Everyone is different of course but for me, its exhausting. Let me explain.

I have spent my life feeling like I dont belong in a room with other people. I always felt I was not worthy. I felt like I was being mocked all the time, and just wanted to crawl up in a ball. To combat this, I would go into a room and talk, talk talk, make jokes, try to impress. This was my defense mechanism. This masking is exhausting and stressful. Imagine trying to do that all day every day. Neurodiverse people need to be at peace with themselves, be stress free, make no apologies and keep that stress bucket empty.

So to summarise, managing the stress is the key and that’s where Solution Focused Hypnotherapy comes in. Talking, planning, changing, relaxing and living the life you deserve.

Phobias

Phobias are something we dont always have any reason for. Some can be the result of something in our past and some are just crazy with no explanation. They are however, still in the part of the brain that is primitive and controlled by the old thoughts and behaviours which can be re-trained.

Using similar methods that are used in the general sessions and an added technique called rewind and reframe, we will take you into a scenario which involves your phobia and at another session we will do a reframe where it involves it again but in a different context and scenario. The technique is very successful and liberating. We need to so 3 or 4 sessions to cover the general psychotherapy and relaxation and the rewind and reframe sessions apart.

Smoking Cessation & Vaping

In simple terms, I do not perform miracles. There are no actual magical spells that can stop you from smoking or vaping. What you do need firstly is to really really want to give up. You have to have 100% commitment or it just will not work. This would be in one session only over about 90mins to 2 hours. I will take you through the same introduction as other therapy sessions where I will educate you on how the brain works and why that is important to why you are in session. I will then take you through some relaxation/trance techniques and hopefully connect with your sub-conscious. I will ask you to hand over all smoking devices, tools, etc to myself if face to face or if online, to a family member where possible. Total release is required from yourself. The rest is up to you . Stopping something that isnt good for us is always down to our own willpower and determination. What happens after the session does require willpower, determination and dedication on your part. You will get the MP3 recording of mine also to still use at bedtime to help with the process

Performance & self - esteem

Like the other sessions for general issues caused by stress, performance anxiety, low esteem and low confidence can be resolved by following similar techniques over a few sessions. Usually 8-12, it can be more or less depending on the individual. Over the weeks, we will look at where you want to be, what you want to achieve, set some goals, do some talking, planning, trance/relaxation and improve living.

Your Initial Consultation is *Free and involves information gathering. This will help me understand your reasons for coming to Hypnotherapy and what we can achieve together. I will also explain why you feel the way you do, how the brain works, and what we can do to achieve your goals. There's no pressure to continue if you feel it's not a good fit, but so far, everyone has chosen to proceed. You'll also get my MP3 relaxation recording to help you on your path to better health. You will listen to this every night before your first session and moving forward.

These sessions of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy use a blend of techniques like psychotherapy, thought training, deep relaxation, and goal setting. They are insightful and rewarding. We usually work to 8-12 sessions but some may be less some may be more. After the Initial Consultation you may feel you would like to invest in 6 or 8 sessions so I offer the opportunity for block booking at a discount. This is offered as an incentive to commit.

This particular issue typically requires a commitment of 4 sessions, scheduled 1 week apart for optimal results.

I utilize a specialized approach known as the rewind and reframe technique to effectively address these fears. We start with an initial consultation followed by a standard solution based psychotherapy session then finish with 1rewind session, followed by 1 re-frame session.
